Matthew Jarvis is a 25-year-old Canadian from Surrey, BC who is a student who plays poker mostly online. Before turning to poker for money, he held a number of different jobs including door to door salesman and working at a lumber yard.
Matthew Jarvis and the 2010 WSOP:
Jarvis will start in the middle of the pack with 16,700,000 in chips and this is his first cash in a WSOP event. Just before Jarvis came to play in the 2010 WSOP, he learned his father had cancer. He thought about skipping his trip to Vegas, but his father insisted he go and play. During the event, he called his dad at every chance he got.
