David Williams was born on June 9, 1980 in Texas. He was living in Dallas, Texas and studying Economics at Southern Methodist University in 2004, when he came in second in the main of event of the World Series of Poker. Even though Greg Raymer took home the top prize, Williams still took home a huge $3.5 million prize for second place.
