Shootout

By Toby Bochan, About.com

Definition: In a 'shootout' poker tournament, you must beat all of the players at your table in order to move onto the next or final round. For example, in a shootout tournament with 100 people, you'd start out with 10 tables of 10. Then each table of ten would play down to one person. Those 10 people would then play at the final table of 10 until there was again one winner.
