Chop

By Toby Bochan, About.com

Definition: 1) To split. If at the showdown, two players have the same hand, the pot is chopped, or split between them.

2) In poker games where players post blinds, if everyone in a hand folds to the small and big blinds, the players in the blinds may agree to "chop." This means both players simply take back their blind bets and fold, so everyone can move onto a fresh hand.
