T.J. Cloutier was born in 1939 in California and lives in Texas with his wife, Joy. They have 6 children together. T.J. has won 6 World Series of Poker Bracelets and finished 2nd in the main event at the WSOP twice, once in 1985, and then 15 years later in 2000. He is considered one of the best tournament poker players of all time -- in 2006, his total tournament winnings totalled over 8 million dollars.
T.J. Cloutier Before Poker:
Cloutier went to UC Berkeley on an athletic scholarship for football and baseball, and even played in the 1959 Rose Bowl. After a stint in the army, he played football for Toronto in the Canadian Football league, but an injury cut his career short. Luckily for Cloutier, while in the army, he learned to play poker, which he found he could make more money at than any 'Straight' job.
