Huck Seed's Vital Stats:

Huck Seed was born in 1969 and grew up in Montana. He won the 1996 World Series of Poker Main Event, and also made the final table in 1999, finishing 6th. In 2009, he won the NBC heads-up poker championship, bringing his total lifetime tournament winnings to over $4.5 million dollars.

What's Huck Short For?:

Seed's full first name is Huckleberry. And yes, it's his real name. Seed once told an interviewer, "When I was 7, I asked my dad why he named me what he did. He told me that he figured if I was ever famous - if I were to ever become, say, a famous baseball player - I wouldn't have to make up a name."

Huck Seed at the Table:

Huck Seed is extremely tall at 6'7", so he can be a looming presence at the table. He's also a quiet player, so that adds to his intimidation factor.

  • 2000 $1,500 Razz
  • 1996 $10,000 No-Limit Hold'em Main Event
