Cyndy Violette entered poker from the other side of the table -- as a dealer in Las Vegas. She first sat down as a player while pregnant with her daughter, Shannon, and after winning a 7-card stud tournament at the Golden Nugget to the tune of $74,000, which was at the time the most money ever won by a woman, was hooked.

"The real World Series champion should play all games. It should be a five-game tournament—you play, and every half-hour you switch games, Hold’em, stud, every game should be played.
