Clonie Gowen’s Background & Basic Info:

Clonie Gowen was grew up in Oklahoma, where she was a high school sports star who played basketball and rocked the high jump in track and field. She burst into poker stardom when she won the World Poker Tour Ladies' Night event in 2003. She now lives in Dallas and has two children. She is a member of Team Full Tilt and can be found playing online there.
Clonie Gowen's Poker Beginnings:

Clonie Gowen began playing poker on trips to casinos in Shreveport, Louisiana, and had modest success playing in tournaments there. In 2002, she entered the World Poker Tour Costa Rica Classic and made the final table, which got her invited to the World Poker Tour Ladies’ Night 2003. She won that, and the rest is history.
What is Clonie Short For?:

Clonie is a nickname for Cyclona, her full name. She got the name because she was born during a huge storm.
