The Poker Hall of Fame was established in 1979 and includes the most influential poker players and important contributors to the game. To be considered, a person must have played against top competition, for high stakes, for years. For non-players, a person would have to "contributed to the overall growth and success of the game of poker, with indelible positive and lasting results."
