Tropicana Poker Room Overview:
The Tropicana or "Trop" to its regular patrons, is a good, though crowded room, as it packs its 48 tables pretty close. It's run very well and offers great rewards to poker players -- make sure to get a Trop Poker Club card if you play there. I've found the dealers there fun & skilled and I enjoy playing in the smoke-free room.
Tropicana Poker Room Details:
The majority of tables at the Tropicana spread Texas Hold'em, with plenty of both no-limit and limit tables at many levels; you can also find Omaha hi/lo and seven-card stud at low limits. The room is famous for it's 'pink chip' limit Hold'em game, which uses special $2.50 pink chips in a $7.50/$15 hold'em game.
Getting Started at the Tropicana Poker Room:
Go to the main desk at the front of the room and tell the host what poker game you'd like to play and at what limits. They'll add your name/initials to the whiteboard lists, which are displayed on TV screens throughout the room so you can see how many players are left until your turn, even if you're sitting at another poker game. I recommend signing up for several lists, as some lists move a lot faster than others.
