Darvin Moon is a 45-year-old logger from Oakland, Maryland. He came into the final table of the 2009 WSOP main event as the chip leader with 58,930,000 chips, but could not hold onto his lead and finished second to Joseph Cada. He took home over $5 million for his second-place finish.

Darvin Moon's Poker Experience:

This was Moon's very first time at the World Series of Poker, and he learned to play from his friends and has only been playing Texas Hold'em for three years. He won his entry to the Main Event through winning a satellite event at Wheeling Island Casino.

How Darvin Moon Felt About Being the Chip Leader:

"I'm not all that good, I'm just lucky and got the good cards."

What Moon Did While Waiting until November:

Moon returned to working at his logging business and didn't sign any sponsorship deals with poker sites.
