Scott Montgomery Basic Info:

Scott Montgomery is from Perth, Ontario in Canada started playing poker while he was teaching English in Japan. In 2008, he made the World Series of Poker main event final table, and in 2010 he won his first WSOP bracelet.

2008: Montgomery's "Breakout year" :

Scott Montgomery began his poker streak in February at the WPT’s L.A. Poker Classic championship event, making the final table. He finished 5th and took home over $296,000. When he got to the 2008 World Series of Poker, his luck and skill got him in the money at 3 events before the main event, netting over $73,000. After making it through his own 'Day 1' at the 2008 WSOP Main Event, he headed over to the Bellagio and entered the $3K No-Limit Hold ‘em tournament at the Bellagio Cup IV -- he finished in 4th place and pocketed and $34,000.

"I'm going to win; I planned on winning from day one. I plan on playing all the tournaments I can between now and then. I don't know how much research you can really do, if I can get some pre-information I wouldn't turn it down. If I take a vacation, I will go to Monte Carlo and play some poker."
