Focus on: Seven-Card Stud

By far, the most popular form of poker being played today is Texas Hold'em, but the first two poker games I ever played were five-card draw & seven-card stud. While you can't find five-card draw in casinos, you can certainly find seven-card stud, and it is a game well worth learning. In my opinion, its a much harder game to truly master, but it also aids your Hold'em skills tremendously if you do master the patience & memory required to be a really good stud player. Plus, it's a great game for home games and a big part of HORSE tournaments. Here are some resources to help you get started:
