One term you hear bandied about a lot when people talk about poker is "tell." And not in a "tell me what you had," way, but as in, "When I saw that guy scratch his ear, I knew he was bluffing. That was his tell." Reading people and figuring out what poker hand they might be holding is a highly important skill for poker players to learn.
