Chip Reese Dies at 56
Tuesday December 4, 2007
The poker community is shocked and saddened at the news that Chip Reese has died of pneumonia at the age of 56. Reese was long considered one of the very best all-around poker players by other poker pros, and won the first $50,000 buy-in H.O.R.S.E poker event at the 2006 World Series of Poker, which showed the general public what an amazing all-around player he was. Over at Wicked Chops Poker, players like Doyle Brunson and Gus Hansen are paying tribute to the legend. They also have a clip of T.J. Cloutier announcing his death and saying Chip was the "greatest poker player that ever lived." Read more about Chip Reese here.
