World Series of Poker Main Event Payouts

Wednesday August 2, 2006
It's official, they've done the math, and this year's winner of the main event at the World Series of Poker will walk away with $12,000,000. 2nd will receive $6,102,499 -- almost as much as Joseph Hachem won for 1st last year -- and 3rd will take home $4,123,310. 4th Place gets $3,628,513, and 5th place, $3,216,182. To get a million dollar payout, players will need to last until 12th place, where they'll get $1,154,527. After that, 13th-15th will have to settle for $907,128. Not bad for a few weeks' work.
