Joseph Hachem Prepares to Defend His Title
Monday July 31, 2006
Last year's poker champion, Joseph Hachem, has waited until the final "First Day" of the Main Event of the World Series of Poker to start. A lot of people are going to see if the charming Aussie can "pass the sugar" all the way to the final table again. I am just going to keep my fingers crossed that he makes it through Day 1D, as I like Joe Hachem and wouldn't be shocked if he did make it. On the other hand, while 2003 Champ Chris Moneymaker also waited to start until today, I'd be very shocked if he makes it. Meanwhile, 2004 Champ Greg Raymer has already proven his mettle and made it through to Day 2, and we'll see if he can make it as deep in the tournament as he always seems to.
