Foxwoods Poker Room

Wednesday January 4, 2006

foxwoods One place I plan on returning to in 2006 is Foxwoods' Poker Room, which is a huge and well-organized place that holds World Poker Tour events, as well as the Foxwoods Poker Classic, which begins in March. That'll be a fun time to go, but there's no reason to wait -- there are satellite tournaments, called "steps" that start as soon as 10 people are around who want to play. And the poker? It goes 24/7.

Check out these helpful resources and set out for the largest casino in the US:

Hey Toby,

I think it is useful to note that the board does not always show all the games being played. I was there in November and I ended up playing $4/$8 instead of $5/$10 because the latter wasn’t showing on the monitors. I should have probably clued in that the room was jammed and there would be more than ten different games going. So, sometimes you have to ask if you are looking for a particular game.

One thing that took me hours to notice at Foxwoods was that the board and the games it showed rotated. The game you were looking for might have been there. You just missed it every time you looked : ) That said, asking never hurts.
