Charity Poker Tournaments for Katrina Victims

Friday September 2, 2005
I haven't been playing poker this week, as it seems frivolous to throw my money into games when there are people who could really use that money. A lot of poker players feel the same, and due to the efforts of Wil Wheaton and some other good poker people, there are a bunch of online charity poker tournaments, starting tonight and going for the next few weeks, to help Hurrican Katrina victims.

The details, via Pauly:

Where: Full Tilt Poker
When: Friday Sept. 2nd at 9:15pm ET
How Much: $20 + $10

Note: Full Tilt will match your $10 entry fee and that will be donated to the Red Cross' Hurricane Relief Fund.

Where: Poker Stars
When: Monday Sept. 12 at 9:30 ET
How Much: $5

Where: Poker Stars
When: Wednesday Sept. 14 at 9:30 ET
