Poker on TV
Monday August 15, 2005
Last week, MSNBC reported that poker is now the 3rd most watched sport on TV, after car racing and football. It's no wonder, with all the great poker TV shows airing now -- and we owe it all to the hole cam, as far as most people are concerned. It wasn't that there wasn't poker on TV before the hole cam, but it was, well, boring. Once viewers could play along with the poker pros, see the odds of each winning, and decide how they would play that hand, it became incredibly compelling.
I'm excited that ESPN will begin showing this year's World Series of Poker starting next Tuesday, since it's my favorite show of all. But I'm curious about what everyone else likes to watch, so I've created a poll: What's your favorite poker TV show?
